The Avon Theatre has been a cherished fixture in downtown Stamford since 1939, welcoming millions of film fans since opening its doors. As a mission driven, non-profit independent cinema, the Avon offers meaningful, artistically significant film programming that inspire audiences.

The Avon Theatre relies on support from our members and our community to continue to provide excellent programming, sponsor our educator program and annual scholarship competition, keep our historic facility beautiful and current and to work with other non-profit organizations on educational and cultural events.
