Please note that the screening of Cutting Through Rocks will no longer include a Q&A after the film. Cutting Through Rocks has been honored with the Cinema for Peace Award, and the filmmakers have to attend the ceremony that evening.

This screening will be held at The Bruce Museum (1 Museum Dr, Greenwich, CT).

Tickets must be purchased before the event. No tickets will be sold at the event. 

Sara Shahverdi, the first female councilor in her Iranian village, challenges tradition by teaching girls to ride motorcycles and fighting child marriage, despite doubts.

This program is presented by The First Bank of Greenwich and sponsored by the Connecticut Office of the Arts, Stamford Arts & Culture Commission, and Wireless Zone Gives. Additional support is provided by The Bruce Museum, Darien Library, Ferguson Library, Harbor Point, and Stamford Town Center.

Parking Notice

Parking at the Bruce is free.  If the lot is full, free parking is available on Steamboat Road, at the Bruce Park Playground lot on Steamboat Road, or at the Island Beach Lot, 121 Arch Street, Greenwich (off Exit 3, I-95). The Bruce is a short walking distance from these parking areas.

Patrons should arrive at the Bruce by 1:45pm for a 2pm screening.  The program starts promptly at 2pm.
